COONCRETE SLAB CONTRACTOR
A large part of what we do each and every day is slab pouring! Some of the common jobs that require concrete slabs in Elk Grove are RV access pads, driveway extensions, patios, slabs for hot tubs, walkways, side yards and the list goes on. We can always use a little more space to store our stuff or to make our home more spacious!
A key to pouring a slab that last decades is making sure that the ground is prepared and compacted properly. This ensures that it will not erode or shift over time causing the concrete to crack. A sturdy base equals a sturdy slab!
After we prepare the ground for the concrete we then set the wood forms that will be the outline of the concrete. Whether you want a traditional rectangle or something with a little more flare. Then we will pour the concrete, make sure that there are no air bubbles and that it sets properly.

POURING LONG LASTING CONCRETE
Concrete slab pouring is what we do day in and day out and we are dang good at it. Some common jobs we do for homeowners are driveway extensions, RV access to back yards and side yards, patios and pads for hot tubs. Who doesn't want a little extra space for all their toys!
There are a couple keys to pouring a long lasting slab. A sub-par contractor may not go through the proper preparation in order to save himself some money. Proper grading is crucial to the longevity of a slab so that it does not crack a few years down the road. Check out one of our partners over at concrete contractor Broken Arrow. So starting with that sturdy base is always on our checklist, we will assess the area and take the necessary steps to ensure proper drainage as well.
Once we have assessed and solidified the base material we then set our woods forms which act as the outline of the concrete being poured. Depending on the customers wants we can create more flowy edges instead of a square or rectangle giving your area a more natural look. If the slab is going to be bearing weight we can add rebar to fortify it.
Once the forms are ready for the concrete we either use a cement truck and wheel borrow the material to the spot or for larger pours we will bring in a concrete boom truck. The concrete will fill the forms and the finish process will begin. They will use trowels to smooth the surface and remove any air bubbles.
It typically takes us one day to do the forms and get the project prepared and on a different day we will do the concrete pouring.
